SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The start of summer welcomes back Sullivan Fresh Farmers’ Markets for the season. Sullivan Fresh's mission is to make fresh fruits and vegetables affordable and easily available to communities in Sullivan County through outreach, incentives, nutrition education, cooking demonstrations, and multi-lingual materials, while creating a sustainable sales market for local farmers.
At the Monticello Farmers Market and the Sullivan Fresh Market-on-the-Move, you can pay your way using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/EBT) benefits, Farmer Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) Checks, Senior FMNP, Fresh Rx Coupons, Double Up Food Bucks, and Sullivan Fresh Bucks. Those using SNAP/EBT benefits at the market receive double the buying power with programs like Fresh Connect and New York State Double Up Food Bucks!

How Incentive Programs Work:
SNAP/EBT: The market manager swipes your SNAP/EBT card and gives you tokens to spend at the market!
FMNP & Senior FMNP Checks are seasonal $25 coupon books for fresh fruits and vegetables. Seniors can contact the Sullivan County Office for the Aging to obtain their checks and WIC participants can contact the Sun River Health office in Monticello. Expires November of 2026.
Double Up Food Bucks: The market manager gives you $2 in tokens for every $2 in SNAP/EBT swiped, up to $50 per visit. Spend on fruits and vegetables at mobile market stops.
Fresh Connect Checks: Get $2 Free for Every $2 Spent in SNAP/EBT(Up to $50 per visit). Get $2 in Fresh Connect checks from the market manager to spend on SNAP-eligible foods. Checks expire Dec. 31, 2026.
Sullivan Fresh Bucks: Kids can get $2 to $10 Free! Children can attend special events at Sullivan Fresh Markets to get your free coupons. May be used for produce, herbs, meat, eggs, and dairy.
Fresh Rx: Get $40... Free! Through the Fresh Rx Produce Prescription Program, if you're SNAP/EBT or Medicaid Eligible you may get $40 for every wellness class you attend!
