Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre Announces Conclusion of Operations

Effective October 31, 2026

Hurleyville, NY – Joint Statement from HPAC and TCFD:

After thoughtful discussion and careful consideration, the Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre (HPAC) has made the decision to conclude its current operations, effective October 31, 2026.

The Center for Discovery (TCFD) will work collaboratively with HPAC and support HPAC as it moves through this transition. This transition reflects HPAC’s evolving priorities and strategic direction while honoring the strong partnership and shared commitment both organizations have maintained in service of the Sullivan County community.

For more than a decade, HPAC has worked to support and celebrate the arts in Sullivan County by offering to the public a variety of cultural opportunities like cinema, festivals, youth and family programming, senior programming, educational classes, and community events. The Arts Centre is grateful to all those who came through our doors, and we thank our staff, volunteers, artists, supporters, donors, and community members who have contributed to this important work.

As HPAC transitions into this next chapter, HPAC and TCFD remain committed to supporting the continued growth of Hurleyville, Sullivan County, and the broader arts community. TCFD will carry on this work to sustain and expand HPAC's legacy of providing meaningful arts programming in Hurleyville, including initiatives such as sensory-friendly movies, activities for seniors and children, Holiday in Hurleyville, and other community events that bring people together to gather, connect, celebrate and learn.

We are grateful for the opportunity to have worked together and look forward to continuing our respective efforts to create a positive impact and strengthen our communities.
