Eddie Wilson Celebrates 40 Years in Radio
LIBERTY, NY - Local radio personality Eddie Wilson recently celebrated 40 years in broadcasting, and continues to bring music, entertainment, and community connection to listeners across the region.
Wilson began his career on Valentine’s Day in 1986 at WFMV-FM in Blairstown, New Jersey. Over the years, he worked at several stations throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, including WIXL-FM, WNNJ-FM, WAEB-FM, WNEW-AM in New York City, WFAS-FM in White Plains, and WSUL-FM in Monticello, where he served as afternoon host and music director. His career has also involved commercial production, traffic reporting, and weekend air shifts across the region.
Since December 2011, Wilson has been part of the team at 95.9 VOS-FM, where he currently serves as morning host, while also contributing to production and public service programming. Known for his fun personality, creative song montages, and artist tributes. He has become a familiar voice for listeners throughout Sullivan and the Catskills. He is also the co-host of the pop culture podcast “The Marvelists.”

Reflecting on his career milestone, Wilson says, “I've always felt that listening to music on the radio makes people happy. That's what I wanted to do. After 40 years, I still consider my job as a work in progress.”
