Catskill Veterinary Services Breaks Ground on New State-of-the-Art Veterinary Medical Center in Rock Hill, NY
Rock Hill, NY — Catskill Veterinary Services, PLLC is proud to announce the official groundbreaking of its brand-new Veterinary Medical Center located at 23 Old Drive-In Road, Rock Hill, NY 12775. This new facility marks a significant milestone in the practice’s mission to deliver comprehensive, compassionate, and cutting-edge veterinary care to the Hudson Valley region.
Scheduled to open in August 2026, the new Veterinary Medical Center will span a modern, purpose-built facility designed to support a wide range of services including advanced diagnostics, 24/7 emergency care, and multi-species treatment capabilities. The building will feature 14 consultation rooms, a rapid triage/trauma room, a dedicated ICU, specialized feline and exotics wards, an oncology suite, a cardiac unit, and an internal medicine unit. Additionally, the facility will house a CT scanner, advanced diagnostic imaging, three state-of-the-art surgical suites equipped with video capture and streaming capabilities, dedicated educational and teaching areas, and a convenient drive-through pharmacy.
Catskill Veterinary Services was founded in 2012 as a house call and farm call practice, and has proudly served the Hudson Valley ever since. While the new facility will support hospital-based care, the practice remains committed to continuing its house call and farm call services, including limited large animal care and equine support.
"This project represents our deep commitment to raising the bar for veterinary care in our community," said Dr. Joseph D’Abbraccio, Managing Partner of Catskill Veterinary Services. "We are building more than just a hospital — we’re creating a space where pets and their families can access life-changing, life-saving care from a team they trust."
"As our community grows, so does the need for innovative and accessible veterinary care," added Dr. Daniela Carbone, Partner at Catskill Veterinary Services. "This facility allows us to continue serving all species—pets, horses, and farm animals—while also expanding our capabilities in specialty medicine and urgent care."
In addition to its specialty and emergency services, the new hospital will provide advanced intensive care for pets of all walks of life. The facility will feature a fully equipped intensive care unit staffed by licensed veterinary technicians and experienced veterinarians, capable of supporting the most critical patients. The ICU will include a dedicated blood transfusion unit, enabling rapid access to life-saving blood products sourced through the hospital’s in-house donor program. From trauma cases to complex internal medicine patients, the new ICU will allow for close monitoring, advanced supportive care, and improved outcomes for a wide variety of species
Strategically located to meet the growing needs of Sullivan, Orange, and Ulster Counties, the new center is designed to be a hub for innovation, education, and veterinary collaboration. Architectural renderings reveal a modern and welcoming design that reflects the high standard of care Catskill Veterinary Services is known for.
Catskill Veterinary Services currently operates locations in Rock Hill and Middletown and has recently opened a new Pet Urgent Care in the Town of Newburgh, NY. The new Rock Hill medical center will serve as the flagship location for the practice’s growing network across the Hudson Valley.
