Junior Network Administrator
Position Overview
New Hope Community is seeking a Junior Network Administrator to join our IT team. This role is responsible for supporting, monitoring, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to excellence in customer support, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

This job is NOT remote; this is an in-person job opportunity
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Network Maintenance: Configure, install, and maintain network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and apply software updates and patches
- Monitoring & Support: Monitor network performance, including availability, throughput, and latency; respond to and resolve issues identified through the ticketing system
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues; escalate complex problems as needed
- Security Administration: Assist in maintaining network security, including user account setup, permissions management, and support for firewalls and VPNs
- Documentation: Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including network configurations, asset inventories, and diagrams
- End-User Support: Provide technical assistance to staff for workstations and network access; ensure timely response and follow-up on Help Desk tickets and support requests

- Communication: Clear and professional communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards
- Field Operations: Ability to handle on-site equipment, including occasional lifting of hardware, and participate in on-call support as needed
- Interpersonal Skills: Energetic, dependable, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the staff who serve them
Qualifications
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 0–3 years of experience in a Help Desk, IT support, or junior system/network administration role preferred
- Technical Skills: Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routers, switches, and access points
Salary range for this position is $62,500.00 - $70,000.00.
