Qoya Inspired Movement Workshop
Thursday, March 26, 2026 (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Qoya Inspired Movement is a holistic movement practice rooted in the belief that through movement, we remember. We remember our true essence as Wise, Wild, and Free. This class blends intuitive movement, ritual, and community connection to help participants reconnect with their bodies and inner wisdom. By tuning into physical sensations and moving in ways that feel authentic, we learn to trust ourselves, release stagnation, and embrace the natural flow of what our bodies need. Each session offers a supportive, inclusive space to explore movement as a form of self-expression, grounding, and elevation. All levels are welcome. No prior experience is necessary. Mats are provided. About the instructor: Wellness expert, artist, and activist Krissy Shields is the founder of The Lotus (formerly pre/post-natal school Maha Mama). For over two decades, she has empowered women and families through accessible movement practices, spiritual herbalism, and mindfulness. Rooted in her commitment to social justice and maternal health advocacy, Krissy has led yoga teacher trainings across the U.S., taught in homeless shelters, prisons, and public schools, and guided global experiences designed to nurture well-being through embodied movement and collective care. She lives with her family between Hell’s Kitchen and the Catskill Mountains, where she continues her practice in deep reciprocity with the land.
