The Black Legacy Project is a musical celebration of Black history created by nonprofit, Music in Common*, to advance racial harmony, bridge-building, and partnership. Integrating music, multimedia, storytelling, and spoken word, taking audiences on a journey through history with songs that have been reimagined and original works that speak to the current state of Black-White race relations in the U.S., highlighting the power of music as a force for human connection and social change. Reserve your spot now! *Since 2005, Music in Common has been creating impactful communities of connection between artist and audience and audience with each other. From house concerts to colleges, performing arts centers, and large festival stages, MIC has performed for thousands of people in more than 400 communities worldwide and has worked extensively throughout the U.S., Middle East, and Far East curating experiences for people across divides to find common ground through music and facilitated conversation. Culling from the nearly 100 songs that have come out of these programs, MIC performances leave audiences inspired, hopeful, and connected.
