CCE Sullivan is now a location to pick up Frequent Fairgoers Official Passports!
LIBERTY, NY – The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets recently announced the launch of the 2024 NYS Fairs Passport Program. The program is designed as a fun way to engage families by offering Frequent Fairgoer Passports for fairgoers of all ages to collect stamps, buttons, and enter to win prizes in multiple county and local fairs across the state! Local Extension offices, State Welcome Centers, and State Parks have been designated as pick up spots for Frequent Fairgoer Passports. Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County is happy to be one of them with 200 passports available!
Individuals and families interested in attaining Frequent Fairgoer Passports are urged to stop by the front desk of the Extension Education Center at 64 Ferndale-Loomis Road in Liberty. Passports are also available at the Hudson Valley Welcome Center Taste NY Store in Central Valley. There is no cost to pick up the passports. Interested individuals will receive a passport booklet, a plastic sleeve, and a lanyard to take with them to local and county fairs. Individuals and families can then collect unique stamps and buttons from each fair they attend at no cost. Additionally, in coordination with the Taste NY Find Me at the Fair promotion, fairgoers can join a scavenger hunt and enter unique codes from each fair to enter in a prize drawing. The more fairs a fairgoer attends, the more times the fairgoer’s name is entered into the drawing, increasing their chance of winning great New York State made prizes.
