Sullivan County to Host 2025 Workforce Summit Focusing on Inclusive Hiring and Ability Awareness

Monticello, NY — The Sullivan County Center for Workforce Development, in partnership with the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce, proudly announces the 2025 Workforce Summit, taking place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Water Park’s Grand Ballroom in Monticello, NY.

This year’s Summit will focus on promoting inclusive workplace practices, particularly for individuals with differing abilities, in recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The event is designed to provide employers with practical tools, strategies, and resources to support inclusive hiring, employment, and retention practices.

Highlights of the 2025 Workforce Summit:

· Proclamation & Recognition from Sullivan County Government

· Ability Affirming Training with a Chamber of Commerce Certificate in Ability Etiquette

· Educational Workshops & Breakouts Topics include inclusive hiring practices, workplace disclosure, unconscious bias, and workplace awareness.

· Ability First Training A focused session on etiquette and best practices for working with individuals of differing abilities.
