Welcoming the Community to the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon
Monticello, NY – Bold Gold Media is proud to continue the tradition of the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon, now in its 47th year! This annual event, dedicated to raising funds for organizations that support the prevention, education, and treatment of heart disease, will take place on Friday, February 21st, from 6 AM to 6 PM. Presented by the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association, Fallsburg Lumber, Narrowsburg Union, and Seven X Motors, the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon will broadcast live from Resorts World Catskills, which has generously donated its entire conference area for the day’s activities.
Attendees are encouraged to stop by and make their pledges to add to the Unity Ambulette Tote Board, donate blood at the NY Blood Center Blood Drive from 12-6PM sponsored by Sheriff Mike Schiff and planned by the Rotary Clubs of Sullivan County, and explore the exciting addition to this year’s event—the Jeff Bank Health Fair being organized by Monticello Rotary from 10AM-4PM. Those unable to attend in person can make a pledge by phone via the Merrell Benco Insurance Agency and Lawrence Miller Insurance Agency Heart Line or contribute online at WSUL.com.
Supporters don’t have to wait until the event to make a difference. SUNY Sullivan Hearts are available for purchase at locations throughout Sullivan County and the Catskills.
The funds raised will benefit programs and equipment focused on the prevention, education, and treatment of heart disease through organizations such as Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills, Sullivan 180, A Single Bite, STEAM Fund and new this year, NAMI of Sullivan County so that we can address the connection between mental health and heart health.
