The Fundamentals of Sign Design

Signs are found throughout every community — whether it is a welcome sign, a directional sign, or a sign advertising a business or event. This workshop will share the design principles that go into making a sign that not only gets the message across, but is attractive and complements the character of your community. Using real examples from Sullivan County and neighboring communities, Dorene Warner of W Design will talk about branding, the effective use of colors and lettering, sign shapes and materials, and how to make a bad design better. Planning and Zoning Board members will receive a certificate of completion for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit.
