Sullivan County Audubon March Meeting
First Spring meeting 6 pm at Sullivan County Community College in Rm. B118 (112 College Rd, Loch Sheldrake, NY 12759) A light supper of pizza and salad will precede the program. Melinda Cormier, SCAS member, will present a program on Cinereous Vultures. These are Old World vultures, designated as “threatened” on the IUCN Red List. This program will highlight the differences between North American vultures, like the Turkey Vulture. Melinda will share exciting video, demonstrating a successful enrichment project for the Cinereous Vultures at Binghamton (NY) Zoo. Enrichment for captive species plays a key role in conservation of wild populations. Come and hear Melinda’s enthusiasm for this project. www.sullivanaudubon.org
