Slam Allen Blues Songs and History
The Sullivan County Historical Society cordially invites you to a free talk and musical performance with recording artist Slam Allen. For over 20 years, Slam Allen has been entertaining audiences with his unique blend of soul and blues. Slam, who lives in Monticello, New York, has spent a lifetime touring the world. For eight years he was the lead singer and guitarist in the legendary James Cotton Band. American Showplace Music believes that Slam is the most dynamic and original soul and blues artist on the scene today! JB Miller, President of Empire Entertainment says, "Slam breathes new life into the blues. His music and performances will clearly be fresh for decades to come. For me, Slam Allen is both the roots and the future of the Blues!" The Sullivan County Americana band Little Sparrow will host the program. The program is made possible with funding from a Sullivan County Arts and Heritage Grant, funded by the Sullivan County Legislature and administered by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.
