'Get Your Garden Going: A Gardening Workshop'
On Saturday, May 18th at 11AM the Liberty Public Library will present ‘Get Your Garden Going: A Gardening Workshop’
It's almost time to safely put out seedlings here in Sullivan County. Local gardener Rose Dasch will give a 'show & tell' of how to successfully get your garden going and growing. Having spent her childhood on a farm in Pennsylvania and now a longtime gardener here in the Catskills, Rose will discuss garden location, prepping the soil for sowing and seedlings, best times to plant, feeding and watering, pests, and ongoing maintenance. She'll share many of the techniques she’s learned from trial and error and take questions. Plus, attendees will go home with a few seedlings to get started in their gardens.
This free presentation will be held at the Liberty Public Library at 189 North Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754. For more information, please call the library at (845)292-6070, email lib@rcls.org or visit libertypubliclibrary.org
