"Essentials for Adventure: Hiking Basics and Trail Tips" with Sawkill Creek Outfitters

The Upper Delaware Welcome Center opened its doors in late 2020 at The Narrowsburg Union with the mission to make it easier for the region’s residents and visitors to more easily access information about the region’s attractions, activities and offerings. We realized that visitors come to the Upper Delaware region and in visiting the region, must deal with the separate visitors’ bureaus of the five counties (3 in NYS and 2 in PA) that touch the Upper Delaware. We want to do our bit to help folks get out there and start enjoying the region sooner! At the Upper Delaware Welcome Center, we do the work of gathering and synthesizing the information to make it more accessible for you! Please stop by when you are in the neighborhood and take advantage of the materials available! In addition to being a source for information about activities, attractions and offerings, The Upper Delaware Welcome Center will offer programs and presentations that aspire to connect residents, visitors and new residents alike to the wonderful history, outdoors, creativity and energy in the region. Join us as Jay and Joan Manasco of Sawkill Creek Outfitters share their tips and information on hiking basics. Whether you are new to the outdoors, or just plan on spending more time on the trails, this presentation will provide you with how to prepare and top considerations for before you head outside.
