Crafting for Critters
Helpers 4 Shelters and Pets Alive are teaming up for an afternoon of crafting to benefit the animals at Pets Alive and other local shelters and rescues. Join us while we make no-sew blankets, simple catnip toys, winter feral cat shelters, braided dog toys and a few other easy projects for animals in need in our local Hudson Valley community. We will supply the materials. You supply the manpower and talent! Want to help with the no-sew blankets or the catnip toys? We ask that you please bring your own fabric scissors or cutting wheel with self-healing mats. Wondering what else you could bring to help? 28 Quart or larger Styrofoam coolers Duct tape Mylar blankets (emergency blankets) Contractor bags Ziploc bags (gallon size) Can’t attend but would like to donate supplies? They can be dropped off at Pets Alive’s main kennel building any day of the week between 10-4pm. Part of a Scout Troop, 4H or other youth group and interested in attending? We would love to have you join us! Please email us at info@petsalive.org so we can have age appropriate crafts available. Please contact us by October 7 so we can accommodate your group.
