Country/Bluegrass Dance Group Headed for County Museum
December’s First Sunday concert was postponed due to the snow storm. The concert will now be held on Sunday, December 15th at 2:00pm.The Country Travelers are a classic old time country / bluegrass dance band. Their repertoire includes square dance, and longtime dance caller Patty Legg will call a dance during their show at the Sullivan County Museum. The Country Travelers come from both Ulster and Sullivan County. Band members include Patty Legg, guitar and lead vocals, Bob Hunt, banjo, guitar and vocals, Paul Lounsbury, fiddle, guitar and vocals, Dave Trestyn, bass and vocals, and Bill Angell, autoharp and hammered dulcimer. The Americana band Little Sparrow will host the event. The concert is part of the Sullivan County Historical Society’s annual Open House and Theme Tree Exhibit. The Historical Society Board will be on hand to welcome members, perspective members, and anyone who would like to join us. Music is from 2:00 – 3:30. The open house is from 1-4pm.
