Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress will unveil a new interactive report that examines the state of childcare in the Hudson Valley and southern Catskills. Childcare businesses in the region are suffering under the weight of changes in demographics, economics, and other factors that have contributed to 62% of licensed childcare providers shutting down in Sullivan County in the past 15 years.
Pattern CEO Adam Bosch will explain why childcare is becoming more scarce, the connections between early childhood education and the regional workforce, and what might be done to preserve this vital service in the region.
