LIVINGSTON MANOR TO HOST 5K TURKEY TROT Come run through one of Sullivan Counties Most Beautiful Covered Bridges and support a local library By Kristin Fowler, Livingston Manor Free Library Director – 845.439.5440 Livingston Manor, NY – The Livingston Manor Free Library will hold a 5K Turkey Trot Fundraiser on Sunday, November 5th @ 1.00 PM. Our race route provides runners with an opportunity to see many of our town's beautiful, unique features that make Livingston Manor so special. The race takes participants past our beautiful school, through our historic 1860 Livingston Manor Covered Bridge, and past the Willowemoc Creek, known for its best-in-class trout fishing. Registration will be from 12:00 PM – 12:45 AM at the "green space" on Main Street – Livingston Manor. Registration forms are available at the Livingston Manor Free Library to be turned in on race day. They are also available via our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/livingstonmanorlibrary/, website www.livingstonmanorlibrary.org as well as via email at kfowler@rcls.org. Race day also coincides with the New York City marathon! In honor of marathoners, trotters and walkers, local businesses in town will offer discounts to participants on race day. Our area shops and restaurants are destinations in and of themselves - check the New York Times Style Section (8/30/2017) and you'll see! The turkey trot is a great way to get out and get moving while supporting library services! This is a small, actionable way that the Sullivan County community can contribute to improving health outcomes in our area while helping raise funds for the library.
