Western Sullivan Public Library Announces December Children’s Programs

Gingerbread Fun for Kids:  Join us for an action-packed fairy tale about the gingerbread man’s great escape and decorate gingerbread cookies to take home with you!!! We’ll have a local chef read us a story before decorating her homemade gingerbread cookies with the kids at the Jeffersonville Branch Wednesday, December 4th, at 4:00pm and at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch Monday, December 16th, 5:00pm. Go home with your very own delicious creations! For more information or to register visit

In addition, we will be hosting a special gingerbread cookie decorating drop-in event at the Delaware Free Branch during Dickens on the Delaware Saturday, December 14th from 1:00 - 3:00pm

Storytime: We'll read together, sing songs, learn age-old rhymes, participate in felt board type activities, craft and play with our friends! This program is intended for ages 3-5, but all are welcome. We’ll meet at 10:30 am on Tuesdays (December 3rd, 10th and 17th) at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library and at 10:30 am on Thursdays (December 5th 12th and 19th) at the Delaware Free Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library. Register online at

Let’s Play! This storytime is intended for the more active child and children under 3. We'll have a healthy blend of open play, structured games, felt board activities and storybook reading. The loose structure will allow the group to fluidly spend time socializing together. We’ll meet at 10:30am on Wednesday, December 11th at the Jeffersonville Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library. For information visit us online at
