Western Sullivan Public Library Announces
Family Programs in September
After a short summer break, we are very excited to get back into our Storytime routine! We’ll begin the circuit with Let’s Play! our a playgroup designed for the more active child - 3 and under. We've created a safe space for families to connect and children to interact with each other in open play. The loose structure will allow the group to fluidly spend time socializing as well as learning. We’ll meet at 10:00 - 11:30am on Tuesday, September 19th & at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch & 10:00am on Tuesday, October 3rd at the Jeffersonville Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library.
Another fun opportunity at the library for families with children ages 3-5 is a more traditional storytime where we read together, sing songs, learn age-old rhymes, participate in felt board type activities, craft and play with our friends! We’ll meet at 10:15am on Friday, September 29th at the Delaware Free Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library.
Children over 7, join us for this month’s Knitting Project - Pom Pom Making. Join local Wool Worth owner, Leila, to learn this amazing art and see what fun project they'll become! We’ll meet at the Delaware-Free Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library on Thursday, September 21st at 4:30 pm. Supplies and space are limited so don't forget to reserve your spot!
Another fun opportunity for the 6-9 age group is at our Jeffersonville Branch on Friday, September 22nd at 4:00 pm. We will be joined by the National Park Service for a Reptile & Amphibians Show! Come learn all there is to learn about these cold-blooded creatures that walk (or slither) the earth. Please register so we can be prepared for you.
