Garnet Health Medical Center Named Top Performer by Healthcare Equality Index for Dedication to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Earns LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Top Performer designation.
Middletown, N.Y. (June 20, 2022) — Garnet Health Medical Center is proud to announce designation as an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Top Performer in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 15th anniversary edition of the Healthcare Equality Index (HEI).
The HEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey of healthcare facilities and their policies and practices dedicated to the equitable treatment and inclusion of LGBTQ+ patients, visitors and employees. A record 906 healthcare facilities actively participated in the HEI 2022 survey, and 251 received Top Performer status.
