Iconic Bagel Festival Expanding to Include Live Mural Art on Broadway

Monticello, NY – May 8, 2023 – The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Iconic Bagel Festival will be expanded and improved this year with the addition of the Catskill ReVibe Mural, Arts and Culture Festival presented by Lowkey Creative. The Bagel Festival, now in its tenth year, is the largest "Main Street" focused event in the county, drawing nearly 20,000 visitors and residents to Broadway in Monticello, the Sullivan County seat. This year, the festival will also feature live mural art created by local and national artists.

Lowkey Creative founder and artist, Josh Deitchman, says the Catskill ReVibe Mural, Arts and Culture component, as part of the 2023 Bagel Festival, will "beautify and revitalize Main Street, celebrate and inspire local arts and artists from a very diverse socio-economic background, as well as engaging community youth in the artistic process."

The Bagel Festival will take place on August 13, 2023, from 9am to 4pm on Broadway in Monticello, NY. The event will include over 130 food, craft, and entertainment vendors, a car show, and the RadioBold Music Festival. The call for Mural Artists both near and far has been announced by Lowkey Creative. Interested artists can apply to be part of this year's festival by visiting thebagelfestival.org and filling out the short application and submitting past work samples to be considered for selection. Applications are due by May 22nd, and selected artists will be notified by May 31st.
