The Forestburgh Playhouse Academy Announces Summer Programs for Young Artists
The Forestburgh Playhouse team is thrilled to announce an exciting lineup of performing arts education opportunities this Summer! Registration is now open for FBP Academy's summer programs, designed to educate and enrich young artists who love to sing, dance and perform. The Academy is offering two exciting programs this summer: the one-week Musical Theatre Intensive for 8-12 year-olds (August 6-12), and the two-week Theatre For Young Artists Musical Camp for 13-17 year-olds (August 14-26).
The Musical Theatre Intensive is back and better than ever! Young Artists will work with experienced instructors to hone their skills in singing, dancing and performing. The week will culminate in an original musical re-telling of Hercules, performed for family and friends.
The Theatre For Young Artists Musical Camp is a brand new program this year, designed specifically for older Young Artists. During the two-week camp, participants will work one-on-one with working NYC-based directors, choreographers and music directors to mount a full-length production of The SpongeBob Musical.
"We are thrilled to offer these exciting programs to young artists in the area," said Franklin Trapp, Director of FB Playhouse and Academy. "Our instructors are passionate about teaching and inspiring young performers, and we can't wait to see what they will achieve this summer."
