Jacobowitz and Gubits Welcomes Two New Attorneys to the Firm
WALDEN, NY - Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP is pleased to announce that Rebecca C. Johnson, Esq. and Rachel J. Rosenwasser, Esq. have joined the firm. Rebecca has joined the firm’s Matrimonial and Family Law Team concentrating on matters involving child custody, child support, family offense, guardianship proceedings, and appellate practice. Rachel has joined the firm’s Real Estate Team handling residential and commercial real estate closings and assisting buyers and sellers with all their real estate needs.
Rebecca Johnson earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Stony Brook University Honors College in Stony Brook, New York in 2012. She earned her Juris Doctorate in 2015 from Boston University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. During her career, she has concentrated in representing victims of crimes in family and surrogate court, including child custody, family offense, support, and guardianship proceedings and appellate practice. She is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties and currently serves as President of the Board. She received the Outstanding New Lawyer Award from the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties in 2021. Rebecca has served as a member of the Safe Homes of Orange County fundraising committee and is a Leadership Orange Graduate Class of 2018. Rebecca was admitted to the New York State Bar Association in 2016. She resides in Pine Bush with her husband and son.
Rachel J. Rosenwasser earned her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Sociology from the University of Rhode Island in 2009. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School in 2013 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2014. Rachel is a former associate broker with ERA Curasi Realty. She is a member of the New York State and Orange County Bar Associations. Rachel is also a member of BNI Gateway since 2020. Rachel has volunteered with AmeriCorps in Rhode Island; for the Entertainment Law Society at Cooley Law School in Michigan; and for the Pro Bono Society, LGBT Project at Albany Law School.“We are happy to welcome Rebecca and Rachel to the firm.
