The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties is excited to announce that a special presentation of the newly re-launched Mid-Hudson Valley Community Profiles Website, which now includes Sullivan County, will be held Wednesday June 27th at 4:00 PM at Bernie's Holiday Restaurant, 277 Rock Hill Drive, Rock Hill NY.
The presentation will include a short video and brief question and answer session.  This site is a welcome source of in depth, comparative information about Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan, and Ulster counties that provides economic agencies, businesses for profit and not for profit, throughout the region with an important tool for assessing and understanding the populations they serve. The website, located at www.mhvcommunityprofiles.org, is available to the public and will be consistently updated annually with new data.

The Presentation will demonstrate how to navigate the site, including the new dashboard and map functions, discuss how it will prove useful to various types of organizations, and point out some interesting trends found within the comparative data. Also to be discussed,  is how organizations applying for the upcoming CFA grant, can use the site, and the importance of including reliable data in both small- and large-scale grant applications, such as the New York State Consolidated Funding Application (CFA).

“Good information doesn’t save lives or revitalize communities—but without it, public policy and private philanthropy can’t be effective,” said Ms. Rosenberg, original presenter of the re-launch. "We hope that community nonprofits and the public sector will find that this website stimulates dialogue about needs, and cooperation around goals, policies, and programs."

Immediately following the presentation attendees are encouraged to stay for the Sullivan County Young Professionals Evening Mixer.  For more information call the Chamber at 845-791-4200.
