A pandemic of epic proportions? That doesn’t mean that you have to miss Jonathan Charles Fox’s birthday! On Saturday, May 23 at 7pm, Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s online series DVAA Live @ Home will feature a celebration of and one-man show by Jonathan Charles Fox and his sidekick, Dharma the Wonder Dog. “Just because I can’t go out,” Fox quipped, “doesn’t mean I can’t have a virtual party! I’ll have my cake and eat it too! Live on Facebook! Try and stop me!”

Award-winning columnist, author, photographer and self- proclaimed “Bon Vivant,” Fox will share his unique blend of humor, pathos, and more of the “self-serving ingratiating joie de vivre” that he’s famous for in this part of the world.

Fox will regale audiences with a selection of stories culled from his colorful life, while you, his “virtual audience” will be able to interact and ask questions. “I was a big traveler before this crisis, writing and performing all over Sullivan, Wayne, and Pike counties! Now I’ve been on lock down since March 17 talking to the furniture and watching Sunset Blvd for the umpteenth time!” Fox says, of transitioning his successful one-man show(s) from DVAA’s Krause Recital Hall to a new live-streamed show on Facebook. Channeling Norma Desmond, Fox quips “I am big, just the screens got smaller.”

Admission is free online, and donations are appreciated. Please visit @delawarevalleyartsalliance on Facebook and join the event. More information is available by visiting DVAA’s website, delawarevalleyartsalliance.org.
