Plant Healthcare Technician

Granite Associates, Liberty, NY, is seeking an individual to assist the Assistant Arborist and Head Gardener with maintaining and developing the Owner's estate, office location, and any other applicable properties in an efficient and high quality manner.

Duties include :

· Performing arboricultural activities when required

· Supporting other teams within the organization when required

· Work alongside Head Gardener/Assistant Gardener while planning and executing gardens and flower beds

· Assist in the care and maintenance of all flower beds, pots and hanging baskets

· Assist in the care and maintenance of vegetable gardens, blueberry & raspberry patches, and planting beds

· Assist with the recording, harvesting, and distribution of vegetables and fruits

· Assist with the removal of unwanted, dying, and dead trees

· Proper use and care of all company equipment

· Reporting pest, disease, and/or health problems to supervisor

· Maintain a professional manner at all times

· Exhibit adequate communication skills

· All other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years working in horticulture/arboricultural environment preferred

· Current certification for OSHA 10, or willing to obtain

· Open minded to a multiskilled role

· Knowledge of plants and vegetables

· Reliability and positive work ethic

· Good communication and organizational skills

· Possess a valid driver’s license

· Ability to take direction

· Open and creative mindset

· Strong team player

· Demonstrates willingness to grow in position
