Program Director of Tokyo Frost Valley YMCA Partnership
POSITION SUMMARY:
Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership Program Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and
facilitation of Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership’s Summer Camp, Weekend Family Camp, Winter Camp and
One Day Program in Westchester.
A principal job function is to ensure that quality service is provided to all participants and families.
Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership Program Director will assist with recruiting, marketing, program
development, staff training, and evaluation and public relations efforts. Additional responsibilities include
coordinating and directing Winter Camp, Family Camp, hiring and supervising over 50 camp staff, in addition to
managing the program supply line.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate over 50 seasonal staff.
? Be responsible for administrative duties such as scheduling and payroll for seasonal
employees.
? Work with the Director of Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership and other year round &
summer staff to create staff training for Resident Camp.
? Recruit summer and winter campers, Family Camp participants including sales and
marketing.
? Develop and implement the resident camp schedule. Includes development of lesson plans
for all activities offered.
? Coordinate all logistics for Summer Camp and Winter Camp program delivery. This includes
processing any necessary paperwork such as contracts, insurance certificates, program
budget, and supplies, etc.
? Monitor and oversee budget for Resident Camp program supplies & equipment.
? Create new and innovative programs for Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership.
? Coordinate and supervise volunteer instructors for the Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership
program.
? Maintain the highest safety standards in a resident camp setting.
? Provide prompt, friendly, and informative customer service.
? Work with White Plains office regarding camper registrations, billing and payments.
? Market, staff, schedule and organize Winter Camp resident program.
? Meet or exceed the standards of the American Camp Association and the Ulster County
Board of Health.
? Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure professional standards of the Frost Valley
YMCA.
? Implement, review, and update Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership’s Program Quality
Standards.
? If necessary, you may be asked to participate in the Frost Valley YMCA program as a trainee.
? Other duties as assigned by the Director of Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership.

QUALIFICATIONS:
? Must be 21 years of age or older
? Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
? Experience as a summer camp staff member in a leadership role
? Must be fluent in Japanese speaking, writing and reading
? Proficient or conversant in English language
? Understanding basic Japanese custom and culture
? Possess excellent communication and organization skills
? Be a strong leader and be able to work well with a team of others
? Be able to multitask and handle pressure well
? Hold Current First Aid/CPR certifications or ability to obtain upon hire
? Enjoy working with children, teens, families and staff
? Driver with a clean, valid driver’s license or ability to obtain upon hire
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
? Able to stand for long periods of time
? Must be able to traverse rough terrain
? Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times

SALARY & BENEFITS: $55,341.00 annually plus housing and generous benefits package
