Dorm Support Specialist – Full-time, Part-time and On-call available
 
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for working with Dorm Life team to provide students on respective dormitory with a safe, clean and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement and success. Provides individualized case management to maintain student enrollment and success in the program.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experience required. A valid Driver’s License required.
 
HOURS:  Varied, includes nights and weekends.  Schedule includes 2 consecutive days off.
 
PAY:  $15.00/hour
 
 

 
Recreation Specialist – Full-time, Part-time and On-call available
 
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for working with Recreation team to provide students with a comprehensive and diverse recreation program. Promotes health and wellness through overseeing the recreation activities as outlined on the approved recreation schedule.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates of Arts Degree or 1-year related experience working with youth. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred.
 
FT HOURS:  3 p.m. – 12 a.m., 2 consecutive days off.
 
PAY:  $15.00/hour
 
Safety & Security Driver – FT and on call available
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Provides safe, efficient and effective transportation for students. Provide a safe and secure living and working environment for students and staff. Provides Center access control and visitor management. Assists in the investigation of accidents and incidents with the goal of resolution and reduction of future occurrences. Works in partnership with Dorm Life, Recreation and Safety and Security staff to effectively supervise and manage the student population. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer previous experience working with youth. Must possess and maintain a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements. Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement required.
 
HOURS:  Monday – Friday; 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (FT)
 
PAY:  $14.00/hour
 
Substitute Instructor 
 
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing instruction and training to students in the Career Education Center. Develops individual achievement plans and academic goals to ensure student academic achievement in the program. Works with the Career Technical Training (CTT) Instructors to infuse applied academics into CTT curricula to enhance student learning and success.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school required. Master’s degree preferred. A valid in-state teaching certificate or waiver required. Previous teaching or Job Corps experience preferred.
 
HOURS:  as-needed-basis
 
PAY:  $65 half day/$130 full day
 
 
 

 
Property Manager
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for the receipt, distribution and management of all Center property.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  Associate Arts Degree from an accredited college required.   Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college preferred.   Experience with Federal Government property and inventory requirements, warehousing and inventory control preferred.  Supervisory experience preferred.  Must possess a valid Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.  Requires computer literacy in word processing and Microsoft Suite of applications.
 
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.  Demonstrates the ability to lift 50 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
 
HOURS:  Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
 
PAY:  $35,600 annually
 
Counselor Specialist
 
POSITION SUMMARY:   Responsible for working with Residential team to provide students on respective dormitory with a safe, clean and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement and success. Oversee respective dorm area and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve student and staff issues and concerns. Provides individualized case management to maintain student enrollment and success in the program. Works in partnership with Dorm Life, Recreation and Safety and Security staff to effectively supervise and manage the student population.  Supervises Dorm Support Specialists as directed; may assume additional responsibilities or serve as the Acting Residential Counselor or Acting Senior Residential Counselor in their absence.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  Associates of Arts Degree (including 12 semester hours of social service-related instruction) required; advanced degree preferred; one year experience in counseling or related field required. Job Corps experience preferred. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and meet company insurability requirements.

Wellness Services Director, RN
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for the management and supervision of the Wellness Center.  Responsible for the provision of preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students.   Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws. 
 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  Registered nurse.  Minimum of an Associate of Arts degree in nursing.  Active, unrestricted license to practice in New York State. Three years of health care experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity required.  Department of Labor approval is required.
 
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION:  Supervises and manages the Wellness Services staff, Department and subcontracted Wellness services including mental health, dental and medical services.
 
HOURS:  Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
 
PAY:  $65,000.00 annually
 
 
Registered Nurse (RN)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible to provide preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students under the direction of Wellness Services Manager- R.N.  Evaluates, determines and recommends appropriate medical, mental health and dental services for student population.  Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws. 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  High School Diploma or equivalent required.  LPN Certification from an accredited program.   Active, unrestricted license to practice in New York State.  A minimum of one year of health care experience preferred.   Department of Labor approval is required.
 
HOURS:  Tuesday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
 
PAY:  $20.00/hour
 
 
Clerk – Education & Training
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Provides clerical support for Education & Training Manager.  This position is responsible, with minimum supervision, to perform a variety of clerical duties that are related to the work of the manager, requiring knowledge of office routine and procedures.  
This individual will also interact with management on a day-to-day basis, handling confidential documents and materials.   Will be required to take on special projects and provide technical support to other departments as needed. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  High School diploma or equivalent required with 1 to 3 years clerical experience.  Degree or certification from an accredited or relevant certified training program.  Advanced degrees preferred. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications is required.
 
HOURS:  Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
 
PAY:  $14.00/hour
 
 
Security Support Specialist
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for working with the Social Development team to provide students throughout the Center and in the dormitories with a safe, clean and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement and success. Oversees assigned areas and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve student issues and concerns. Provides individualized support to maintain student enrollment and
success in the program.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of one year Job Corps or related program experience required.
