Maintenance Technician I

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible to assist with tasks relating to general maintenance. The Maintenance Technician 1 will work with the Maintenance Supervisor to achieve a team approach to facilities and resource management, ensuring that all services are of a standard that will meet the needs of the customer and the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ? Assist with construction/general contracting skills including carpentry, painting, sheetrock, spackle and tape, basic electrical repairs, plumbing, roofing, general repairs, water, sewer, masonry work, HVAC, vehicle maintenance, and heavy equipment operation ? Provide guest support, assisting with firewood delivery and general grounds care, including mowing and weed wacking, trash/recycling collection, snow and ice removal ? Maintain a safe working environment and ensure safe work practices ? Promote effective teamwork in a friendly and cooperative work environment ? Perform other duties as assigned ? Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed ? Ensure that Frost Valley achieves the highest standard and meets the mission and goals of the organization ? The employee must be able to work in inclement weather including rain, snow and seasonal weather conditions ? General maintenance, building and construction experience ? Skills such as general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, automotive repairs, heavy equipment operation ? Possess a valid US Driver’s License WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: ? The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. ? Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust. ? Employee may be required to traverse on rough terrain. ? The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
