The Delaware Valley Job Corps Center is located in beautiful Callicoon, New York.  Our mission is to empower 16 to 24- year old’s through academics, vocational studies, and career skills with employability in mind.  Our Center offers residential living and recreation programing for our students.

Human Resources Manager
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Provides management and supervision of the Center’s Human Resource function. Analyzes human resources policies and procedures and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve issues and problems. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school required. A minimum of three years human resources management experience required. Human Resources Certification preferred. Department of Labor approval required.
 
HOURS:  Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
 
 
 
 
Residential Advisor – Full-time, Part-time and On-call available
 
POSITION SUMMARY:   Responsible for working with Residential team to provide students on respective dormitory with a safe, clean and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement and success. Provides individualized case management to maintain student enrollment and success in the program.   
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experience required.
 
HOURS:  Varied, includes nights and weekends.  Schedule includes 2 consecutive days off.
 
PAY:  $16.50/hour
 
 
Evening & Weekend Specialist – Full-time, Part-time and On-call available
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for working with Recreation/Evening/Weekend Programs team to provide students with a comprehensive and a recreation and evening and weekend programs. Promotes health and wellness and education and training through overseeing the recreation and evening/weekend activities as outlined on the approved schedules.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  Post-Secondary Degree Required. One-year related experience working with youth required. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred.
 
FT HOURS:  3 p.m. – 12 a.m., 2 consecutive days off.
 
PAY:  $16.50/hour
 
 
Safety & Security Coordinator
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for working with security team to provide a safe and secure living and working environment for students and staff. Supervises security details and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve student and staff issues and concerns. Conducts investigations of accidents and incidents with the goal of resolution and reduction of future occurrences.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  High School Diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one-year experience in military, law enforcement or security required. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.
 
HOURS:  Saturday/Sunday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Monday 3 p.m. – 12 a.m.; Tuesday/Wednesday 11:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.
 
PAY:  $17.50/hour

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer Job Corps or related program experience. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.
 
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and /or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
 
HOURS:  Saturday/Sunday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Monday 3 p.m. – 12 a.m.; Tuesday/Wednesday 11:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.
 
PAY:  $16.50/hour
 
 
OA/CTS Counselor – Poughkeepsie, NY
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for applicant recruitment and arrival coordination, and to provide exiting students with transitional support and placement services leading to quality full-time jobs, military enlistment, or enrollment in higher education or Job Corps advanced training. Identifies and develops Center-beneficial partnerships that lead to enrollment and/or student placement. Determines and documents student eligibility for Job Corps enrollment according to all PRH requirements. Works cooperatively with Career Technical Training and Career Transition Readiness staff to provide exiting students with comprehensive and individualized case management to identify and remediate students’ transitional. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field from an accredited school; or Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field from an accredited school and two years’ related experience in youth programs. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.
 
HOURS:  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.;  Wednesday 10:00 a.m. – 7 p.m.
 
PAY:  $40,000/annually
 
 
Academic Instructor
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for providing instruction and training to students in the Career Education Center.  Develops individual achievement plans and academic goals to ensure student academic achievement in the program.  Works with the CTT Instructors to infuse applied academics into CTT curricula to enhance student learning and success. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school required.  Master’s degree preferred.  A valid NYS teaching certificate or waiver required.  Previous teaching or Job Corps experience preferred.  
HOURS:  Monday – Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
 
PAY:  $43,000/annually
 
 
Driver
 
POSITION SUMMARY:  Provides safe, efficient and effective transportation for students. Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of Center facility and grounds.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer previous experience working with youth. Must possess and maintain a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.

HOURS:  as-needed-basis
 
PAY:  $65 half day/$130 full day
