The Spring Invasive Species Awareness Week culminates in a native tree and shrub planting at the Thorn Preserve! As part of an invasive species control project, we will be planting 800 native plants along the West side of the Thorn Preserve. These plants will help manage regrowth and reintroduction of invasive species such as mugwort, Japanese barberry, Eurasian bittersweet, and Japanese knotweed. We will be planting trees and shrubs Friday through Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.
