The Creekside Concert

Creekside Concert Set for the Backyard Park in Jeffersonville Jeffersonville JEMS is excited to sponsor the Creekside Concert on the new stage at the Backyard Park at Lovett Lane, Jeffersonville. This concert will feature home grown American music by three talented musicians and will take place on Saturday, September 17th following the festivities of the Jeffersonville Jamboree. Gates will open at 5 PM with the concert starting at approximately at 5:30 PM. Ruthann Schulman Baler will open the concert along with her son, Sam Baler. Ruthann grew up on a farm in the Catskills which helped her to create a spiritual connection to nature. That connection has been inspiration for her as a songwriter. Her songs have been described as a blend of pop and folk with blues and country undertones. She has released two albums, Life on Mars in 2009 and Rivers and Trains in 2018. Justin Sutherland will follow Ruthann. As a multi-instrumentalist Justin can play piano, guitar, drums and harmonica. He writes, composes and arranges his own music. He composed the scores for the film Barnburner and recently released an EP entitled Stargazer. Justin will perform new songs from his EP: Across the Ocean and When We Were Young. Rounding out the program will be B. J. Henrickson. He is a singer and acoustics performance artist specializing in playing the songs so familiar you might want to sing along. B. J. performs at breweries, distilleries, cideries and restaurants throughout Sullivan, Orange and Delaware Counties. Tickets for this concert are $20 with children age 12 and under FREE. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online at myrivertickets.com. Bring a blanket or chair to relax on. Please…no pets allowed per village ordinance. Refreshments available: enjoy “Oakie Pokie”, delicious hot dogs with lots of toppings, Myers Century Farm with the best homemade ice cream ever made by Rianne, and some homemade goodies and coffee/tea from the JEMS group.
