Join us Friday, August 22nd, 2025 for a 90-minute live multimedia, immersive experience featuring 9 acclaimed NY-based artists — traditional musicians, remix artists, and storytellers — honoring and re-imagining their Black and Indigenous lineages.
Summary
On August 4, Remix ? Culture will kick off its fourth Tanfis artist residency, bringing together a new cohort of NY-based artists from underrepresented communities — African-American, Colombian, Mexican, Occaneechi-Saponi, Taíno, and Jamaican — to collaborate through a process guided by the following existential questions:
