Sullivan Renaissance will award over a half million dollars in grants and resources to groups of volunteers working to spruce up their communities this season at the Annual Awards Ceremony on August 6th at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Volunteers, businesspeople, teachers, clergy, and elected officials will be acknowledged for their work and role as leaders who are moving Sullivan County forward. The Sullivan Renaissance Awards Ceremony is the culmination of months of volunteer efforts to plant flowers, spruce up buildings, main streets, and gateways, and to embrace many areas of beautification. From hanging baskets and banners to creating healthy communities and enhanced code enforcement, leaders have emerged to move their neighborhoods toward a place where everyone wants to be part of the action. “The dedication of the volunteers continues to transform our communities and public spaces, making Sullivan County welcoming for all who live and visit here,” said Denise Frangipane, Sullivan Renaissance Executive Director. Everyone is welcome to celebrate community members as they are recognized for their dedication. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with light refreshments (Kosher options available) and entertainment by Somerville. The program begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. The facility is ADA accessible.
