Second Annual Vet Fest to be held August 5, 2023
GRAHAMSVILLE, NY: Building on the success of last year’s event, Sullivan County’s Second Annual Vet Fest will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Grahamsville Fairgrounds on Route 55 in Grahamsville, NY.
Sponsored by the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Veteran Peer Support Program at Action Toward Independence, Vet 2 Vet of Sullivan County, and the Sullivan Count Veterans Coalition, Vet Fest welcomes active-duty military, reservists, veterans, and members of the National Guard, along with their families.
The 2nd Annual Vet Fest will be a free day of fun and resource connecting, as well as networking. Entertainment will feature U.S. Army Green Beret Veteran Derek Stoner and local Neversink resident Jesse Noren.
Food will be served by the Grahamsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Tri-Valley Little League, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided by Danny’s Roadhouse Rolling Bar. Food and beverages will be free for all Veterans and their families, all others will pay a nominal charge.
A petting zoo, bouncy obstacle course, corn hole games and more will keep the kids entertained, while K-9 demonstrations and other activities will be available throughout the day. Service dogs can get their distemper and rabies vaccinations at no charge courtesy of Catskill Veterinary Services of Rock Hill. And Garnet Health’s “Know Your
Numbers Program” will provide on-site cholesterol and glucose testing as well as blood pressure screenings. Plus attendees can visit with ClearPath for Veterans, Hope Not Handcuffs and the American Lung Association.
