Hudson Valley Flamenco performing live on the library’s new outdoor stage will be Juana Cala’, Dancer/ Choreographer, performer, and teacher of Flamenco for more than 20 years; Hudson Valley’s very own flamenco singer, Mario Rincon; and flamenco guitarist, Greg Melnick. Juana Cala has been teaching Flamenco in the United States and Europe for more than 20 years, and eventually went on to form her own company. Mario Rincon has toured and performed extensively with the dance troupe Flamenco Vivo and with his father’s ensemble, Romeria Flamenca. Greg Melnick has been studying Flamenco guitar for several years and currently works with Flamenco Vivo. This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.
If it rains, the first 25 signed up for the program will be admitted to the Robert D. Norris Community Room and the program will be held indoors. Masks will be required for all attendees. Seats will be as socially distanced as possible with open windows for ventilation.
