Join Jennifer Canfield for a workshop about the human-horse connection, the agricultural aspects of horse keeping, behavior and the predator/prey dynamic, our expectations, the importance of keeping in the moment, and how being with horses enhances our human to human relationships. Long-time horse owner, Jennifer halted her breeding program in 2004 in favor of advocating for unwanted horses. “Each life is precious. As humans we need to be willing to evolve in our thinking,” Jennifer explains. The program begins at the Farm Arts Collective greenhouse at Willow Wisp Organic Farm. Participants will then walk next door to Jennifer’s barn (meet the horses) and enjoy some freestyle corral time up front. Sturdy footwear is strongly recommended. Space is limited for this event. Please visit www.farmartscollective.org for tickets and more info or call Tannis at 917-566-7698.
