Farm Arts Collective Seeking New Members

FARM ARTS COLLECTIVE EXPANDING Damascus, PA-- Farm Arts Collective is currently seeking new ensemble members to join the creative team for the development of Dream on the Farm, an annual site specific performance taking place at Willow Wisp Organic Farm in August 2021. The ensemble, led by artistic director Tannis meets every Thursday at 6:00 pm via ZOOM for the winter months (Spring- Summer resumes outdoors) to work on performance creation practice. More about DREAM ON THE FARM Dream on the Farm is an annual outdoor site-specific theatre performance created by the Farm Arts Collective ensemble of actors, stilt walkers, dancers, and musicians. The eco-drama, performed on Willow Wisp Organic Farm explores the relationship between humanity and the natural world. Directed by artistic director and farmer, Tannis Kowalchuk, the performance will be developed and rehearsed from January-August 2021, with performances presented on the farm for one week in August. Audience members are guided around the 30-acre farm where the immersive performance takes place. The theme for the 2021 performance will be climate change and its affects on the macro and micro-communities found on the land and river. The ensemble will continue a cultural exchange with members of the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania in the creative collaboration of the performance.
