Eureka! The Invention show– virtual program at Liberty Public Library Join the Liberty Public Library on Thurs. April 15 at 1:00 pm for a free virtual program titled Eureka! The Invention Show. Audience members will explore the industrial revolution and mechanical era, with virtual interactive demonstrations and historical discussion of actual items from history. Some of the real items will include the steam engine, Thomas Edison cylinder phonograph, box wooden telephones and cameras, windup toys, mechanical door bells and mechanical/gear based household items such as butter churns and apple peelers. Brought to you by Denny Daniel of The Museum of Interesting Things-- a traveling interactive demonstration/exhibition of antiques and inventions inspiring innovation and creativity - learning from the past to create an inventive future. Demonstrations are virtually "hands-on" so participants can truly experience what life was like many years ago. The library is currently open 6 days a week for 30 minute appointments for all services and for curbside pick-up, if preferred.
