Our annual golf tournament is a cornerstone fundraising event supporting transformative New Hope Community programs, including Hope Farm, the Stables at McCoy Meadow, Select Connects, and many others. These programs empower the people we serve to develop new skills, discover their passions, and experience life to the fullest.

About Wallace Berkowitz
Born in New York City, Wallace Berkowitz made Sullivan County his home in 1960. A graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and City College of New York, Wally served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as part of the Army Audit Agency.
A CPA by profession, Wally practiced accounting in Monticello and Liberty for 20 years and was deeply committed to community service. His civic engagement and leadership extended to New Hope Community, where he joined the Board of Directors in 1989. Wally served as Board Chair from 1994 to 2004 and as Assistant Secretary from 2005 to 2008.
Wally’s leadership, humanity, and unwavering dedication to New Hope Community helped shape the organization into what it is today. By participating in the Wallace Berkowitz Cup, you are honoring his legacy and ensuring that New Hope Community can continue to provide innovative residential, social, educational, and therapeutic programs that empower extraordinary lives and independence.
